Happy 2025 to everyone!
First and foremost I would like to take this moment to thank a few people. Thank you Rick for your years of dedication to Sand Castle, keeping our parks beautiful in your roll as Parks Director. This also includes all of our Park Wardens. I would like to thank all of the volunteers that help in our spring park cleaning and through out the year. No matter how big or small of a gesture you do as in picking up fallen branches and placing them by trees to Alex making sure that we’re able to visit our library in the winter, Thank You to everyone.
After 40 years in the television industry as a lighting director, it was time to slow down and Sand Castle was calling to come back, the place that I’ve known since 1972.
This is my first time being part of the association, and although I have gotten to know many of you through walking Bailey, I hope to get to know everyone who lives in our special community.
With being in the position of Park’s Director, I have big boots to fill, and I look forward to working with everyone to improve the functionality and beautification of our parks.
Park spring cleaning will continue as it has in the past with this years cleaning being held on Saturday May 10th 2025 at 10 am in the park of your choice. Park Wardens will provide the game plan in their specific area. The rain date will be Saturday, May 17th. Refreshments will follow cleaning.
This year, we hope to accomplish improvements on our paths in applying mulch making it a smoother walk, along with repairs to the deck in the covered shelter (park 4), and completing delineation marking along paths leading into our parks.
Lets make 2025 a year of sun and fun
