Boat Launch Director’s January 2025 Message

Hello everyone.  I am Karol Makiela.  I have been a full time resident in the Sand Castle community for the past 3 years now and was selected to be on the board of directors at the last AGM.  I was then chosen to take responsibility for our community boat launch.  There is a separate article in the newsletter which refers to the boat launch operation and restrictions so I won’t go into them here other than to say that anyone who wants to use the boat launch can contact me at any time to sign the release and have their fingerprint added to the electronic lock. Hopefully, the water level will recover this year making the launch more useable for larger boats.  However, this is beyond our control.  We do plan to doing some maintenance to the launch area and, perhaps, doing some dredging to make it more useable.  If you have any questions, please email me.
